Nation of Heroes 2
"We Will Make A Stand"
Heroes are not just persons who have powers. Heroes, also does not talk about those people who wasted their lives in a battle and those fought for the rights of his/her fellow compatriots. However, heroes talk about each one of us. Even if we are just an ordinary persons from a very extravagant world, we can still be a hero of our own.
Last October 17-19, 2014, the Schools Division of Negros Oriental celebrated a three-day activity entitled "Nation of Heroes 2 - We Will Make A Stand" held at the Municipality of Amlan, Negros Oriental. The supposed activity is participated by the different schools of Negros Oriental both public and private elementary and secondary level. The leading participants for this commotion are the Supreme Student Government (SSG) and the e-Learning Club Members (ICT), but since our supervisor, sir Adolf P. Aguilar has an objective to reach so he decided to let the other clubs to join the activity. |
Day 1 is all about the arrival of the contributors, the registration, the elimination for the Oratorical and Talumpati, and the contest proper. In the oratorical exclusion, Kimberly Gimala from San Jose District, particularly in San Jose Provincial High School, has luckily chosen as one of the contenders for the proper competition held that same day which is in the evening at Amlan Plaza. That same hour, the Gaba-an Youth Lead and Sir Aguilar announced the upcoming accomplishments to be done the next day.
On the second day, the activity started in the church. They did a thanksgiving mass and ask for guidance in the activities. Next thing is another pleasurable competition, the Himig Handog competition. In the afternoon, is another activity where the participants from different schools have their different number/group. Each group is composed of learners from altered institutes - Elementary and a Secondary. The activity is comprised of sub-activities. After that, the students and teachers made their Oath of Leadership. At that juncture, the releasing of balloons (by team) happened afterwards. That evening is the Heroes Night, where the participants should wear an outfit from their favorite superhero. Nevertheless, before that, Mr. Pocholo Gonzales, the main speaker of the night shared his childhood experiences until the time he became the Voice Master.
On the third day, the participants woke up early for there is a morning mass held at Amlan National High School. The morning exercises followed. The last activity for the partakers that day is the Amazing Race. After that, Sir Adolf took the opportunity to thank the participants for participating and joining the event.
At noon time, the participants went home happily knowing that they have new friends and especially, they've gained knowledge on how to become a leader, and how to be a Hero.
